Judith Lawson - "The production of waste is absolutely central to our way of life, a fundamental part of how the global economy operates. Even though sustainability is now such a hot topic there is no noticeable decrease in consumption, and an accepted culture of planned obsolescence continues...My work speaks of this but at the same time I recognise a need to spark joy, to find humour and to reuse in a positive way...Polystyrene as a canvas began a year ago as a response to my own poor consumption choices..."

Milvia Romici - "Her sculptures are made by gathering and recycling the plastic waste produced by the local community...Milvia creates plastic rocks to address issues regarding the future of our planet. But also to prompt new ways of thinking about our consumption habits, consumerism, volume and plastic's longevity.
