"In 1992, Nick Eagles and Mike Petre were commissioned to paint a mural on the wall at
the Ponsonby Club Hotel (the Gluepot). The work shows contemporary expressionist
Ponsonby scenes, and is in acrylic on wallpaper, which was removed and sold at the
Gluepot closing auction in 1994. Approximately half of the original mural was
purchased and sections vacuum pressed onto hardboard."
